Russ Meyer will once again be Honored for his pioneering film spirit, after deep
consideration from the board of directors for the festival. Mr Meyer was the first to
shoot film at our studio when it was still a ranch, "Faster Pussy Cat Kill, Kill" was shot
entirely at What is now California City Studios, it is only fitting we honor his works
with Independent films, even though his full body of works may be controversial.
