in the space industry. The Mojave Desert continues to inspire film makers
from around the world, whether it's westerns, or space films, The
Mojave Desert is a major draw. Literally hundreds if not thousands of
films have been made here dating back to the 1890s. The Mojave Desert
is truly Hollywood's back lot, there is no other desert like it in the world.

Independent films! We are looking for films, features, shorts, videos,
music video a list of categories is to your left on the film strip, each
category will have its own awards . We want independent films of all
sorts we are promoting the independent film maker and their works.
This is the place to show your art to your peers, meet greet and be seen
by professionals.

Why Screening in four States?
The Mojave Desert is 25,000 square miles and touches on 4 states,
California, Nevada, Arizona and Utah. There have been great movies
made in all these states and since this is the Mojave Film Festival it is
only fitting we include those states that are associated with the Mojave
Desert. We will have reporters interviewing participants in those areas
via live broad cast into California City Studios during festival
screenings. This is the first time this has been done so it is exciting to
see it take shape. We also have taken into consideration the excitement
factor, it may be exciting to visit the festival at the studio for a day then
travel to other areas where there is more to do for festival goers
wishing to view different films. The Mojave Desert is vast, it can be fun
just exploring it's many facets while participating in a history making
festival .
